This week's Signals & Noise is live. The theme: the AI bubble, and the fact that almost nobody is questioning it. CEOs are promising to cure cancer in five years, telling us money will soon stop mattering, and guiding to $200 billion of revenue by 2030 against a current quarter of $6.7 billion, all with next to no pushback from the press. Bubbles are normal near a top. The size of this one is not.

Premium members also got the instrument showing the ASX 200 is really two bets, with almost 60% of the index in just financials and materials, and BHP and CBA alone making up 21.7%. Own the index and you own a bet on Australian housing and Chinese steel, not the diversification most people assume.

Plus immigration moving to the centre of the property story, countries being told to pick a side between the US and China, and the rare earth knowledge China will not hand over.

This week's podcast and the full show notes are there too.

Premium is $9.99 a week. The average adviser charges $7,000 a year. Cancel anytime.

And the sudden wave of private credit offerings quoting 7.5% and 8% paid monthly?...
Preparation, not prediction | Signals and Noise, August 7
Access Newsletter  This week's Signals & Noise is live. The theme: you do not need to predict the fire to survive it, you need insurance. We break down how to build a portfolio that is not fragile, ideally one that is robust or even anti-fragile, so a market fall holds no fear. It is the frame we are carrying into a genuinely uncertain stretch. Premium members also got the Cotality table show...
Is the property game finally over? Signals and Noise, July 31
Access Newsletter  Most investors fail for two reasons. They base risk on their age instead of what markets actually cost today. In this week's free edition: - This week's podcast, The Property Game Is Over: why two decades of leveraged one way bets on Australian housing look to be finished, free to...
